Susan is a native Floridian who never dreamed of an insurance career. She graduated with honors from the University of Florida with plans on going to law school. But Nationwide Insurance, one of Gainesville’s largest employers, hired her out of college. She spent the next 10 years moving quickly up through the Nationwide ranks working as a commercial underwriter, claims adjuster, large loss adjuster, and district sales manager before she left corporate insurance. In 2008, she joined her now husband, Mike Augustyniak, to work in the agency side of insurance. Together they have built a very successful award-winning agency in Jacksonville, FL. She loves her career choice of insurance and has never looked back! She enjoys good conversations about places to travel to, ways to save money, or how to use technology to make life and business better. When she is not at the office, Susan loves to watch HGTV, spoil her 2 Westies (Max and Mollie), and travel with her husband Mike.

Mike Augustyniak

Former NFL Running back, College Football Fan, & Insurance Agency Owner

Mike Augustyniak is the middle of 9 children and grew up in rural Indiana. He fell in love with football during middle school. Football shaped his strong work ethic, competitive spirit, and team focus during high school. He walked on-- to what he calls “a tackling dummy position” – with Purdue University Football. But his work ethic paid off, and quickly earned a scholarship and became the team’s starting Running back. After the Boilermakers, the NFL did not draft him. So he walked on to the NY Jets team tryouts. Again, he beat the odds and earned the starting running back position with the Jets. Mike was fortunate to play for 4 seasons before sustaining a career-ending knee injury. After the NFL, Mike changed careers to insurance. For 15 years, he was a top-tier award-winning Agency Sales Manager for Allstate Insurance and Nationwide Insurance in Florida. Outside of work, Mike loves watching College Football, playing Golf, and playing with the Westies - Max and Mollie.
